CAIIS Special Summer Research Grant. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the continued complications this has created for travel, CAIIS is offering a special application this summer (up to $2,000 per person) focused on supporting non-travel research expenses in American Indian and Indigenous Studies. We encourage researchers to apply for funding for things such as: online class fees; hiring a student or a Native research partner for research assistance, transcriptions, translations, etc.; scanning or photo printing costs; purchasing books, equipment, or other needed materials; or other research-related expenses. Most awards will be paid as reimbursements by U.S. check or direct deposit.
Applications must be received no later than August 1, 2020 (midnight, PST).
